Drosera, also known as Sundews, are one the most species rich and globally abundant species of carnivorous plant in the world! Hundreds of species can be found on every continent apart from Antarctica, and New England boasts five species, three of which are found along the sandy acidic pondshores of Cape Cod. One of these species, Drosera filiformis is a specialist in this habitat. The Cape always provides excellent botanizing, and this site is particularly rich in plant carnivory!
