Delay on Drums – My Favorite Way to Add Dimension

Описание: In this video, I talk about one of my favorite effects when working with drums: delay.
I start with a simple, heavy, and very direct drum groove and show how delay can add dimension and movement without losing impact.
I walk through my approach step by step — from shaping the groove, trying different spatial ideas, to finding a solution that keeps the drums powerful and focused while still adding space and character.
The sound you hear was later used in a church recording session, which added another layer of atmosphere to the project. The church itself isn’t the focus here, but part of the creative context in which this sound ended up living.
This video is a behind-the-scenes look at how I use delay creatively on drums, especially for cinematic and atmospheric music.
