This week we have with us Dr.Erica Johnson to talk about the PACES in Epilepsy program at the University of Washington. Dr.Johnson is a rehabilitation psychologist and a fellow of the American Epilepsy Society. Her areas of research inquiry include psychosocial and neuropsychological features of chronic central nervous system illness, mood and anxiety disorders and epilepsy.
On this episode we talk about what the PACES in Epilepsy program is, why it is important, why there is such a focus on self management interventions in a disease like epilepsy and the impact it has on overall quality of life in patients with a seizure disorder.
