This has to be the most beautiful version of this song I have heard. Carter Burwell really got this right. The song titled "The Wicked Flee" is a variation of the old hymn "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms", and it is featured at the beginning of the remake of "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges. During the key change to C major, the orchestra comes in with an ethereal harmonization that really evokes images of a "swaying sensation". Think period dress perhaps of a lady walking down the street in an old west town buy supplies at the local general store.
