Описание: IMPHAL, Feb 13: Highlight-ing the importance of yoga for physical and mental well being of human beings, yoga guru Swami Ramdev has stated that Medical Science is incomplete without yoga.
He was speaking at a discussion programme held to- day at IMA Hall, Lamphelpat on the topic ‘Yoga and modern Medical Science’.
He said that yoga is indispensable if one must lead a healthy life, free from diseases.
By doing simple yoga exercises regularly without going for difficult ones, one can keep oneself healthy.
Science and yoga are complementary and if the two subjects can be combined under some model, it would be highly beneficial to mankind, said the yoga guru.
Patanjali Research Foundation has been doing extensive research on how yoga can make more contributions towards making mankind more healthy.
Amazing capabilities of yoga will be known shortly, he asserted. Swami Ramdev also demonstrated different yoga positions apart from interacting with the audience.
The discussion programme was jointly organised by BST, PYM and Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur.
