Hi everyone, Here is my pearl oc design that I have been working on. This is Pink pearl is not based around the pink diamond from the show, but the Pink star diamond a real life gem worth 83.2 million. Being one of the fanciest diamond ever, I wanted to design a pearl around it , so I spent some time designing her in my sketchbook. Her dress was based around a six sided star . I cared that over to her battle axe near the bottom. AS for the background, which I love how it came out, the falling stars added a lot of motion to the hole piece. I also love how the black and white lines around the piece made her pop right out.
As for my pearls personality, she is a fanatic loyalist to her diamond and any gem who earns her trust. Pink star diamond had her secretly trained in combat as a last line of defence against thous who would do her harm. This has proven very useful in preventing assassination attempts and coup. She even shatter a jasper attempting to kill her diamond.
As for the painting part of this speedpaint the biggest problem I had was getting all the pink to look good together. I was eventually able to get it to work. I feel I could have done better with the gems but It's to late now. This is one of my favorite piece I have done ^v^
