Описание: Two new species of slender-armed frogs have been discovered from secretive habitats in the Northeast Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The study also highlights the role of the Brahmaputra River as a biogeographical barrier, with the newly described species restricted to the north of the river, while all other known members of the genus occur only to the south of it.The discovery was made by a team of amphibian researchers comprising A. N. Dikshit Akalabya Sarmah, Sonali Garg, Tage Tajo, Radhakrishna Upadhyaya K., and SD Biju from the Systematics Lab, University of Delhi (www.frogindia.org), along with James Hanken from Harvard University. The findings have been published in the journal PeerJ.
