Bryant Cameron Webb, M.D., J.D. is a resident physician in Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia, majoring in interdisciplinary studies through the University's Echols Scholars program. After leaving U.Va., he sharpened his interests by developing a combined MD/JD graduate education program. He received his Juris Doctorate and Health Law Certificate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and his Medical Doctorate from Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Webb has served as a national board member of both the National Medical Association (NMA) and the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), including a term as the SNMA National President. During his graduate education, he completed internships at the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity, Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, and the American Medical Association. Additionally, he spent time as a community organizer with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and as a health policy consultant with the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. Most recently, Webb co-founded the grassroots health equity non-profit, EquityRx, as a vehicle for advancing the health equity movement.
Webb credits the interplay of his experiences as a community organizer, attorney, legislative extern, policy analyst and physician for providing him with a unique and valuable perspective on the health equity movement. He is very excited about the prospects of working at the intersection of clinical medicine, health disparities research, community service and health policy advocacy for years to come.
