Oil vs. Water Mixable Oil Paint: Which is Better?

Описание: I feel like they might as well rebrand water mixable oils as “wannabe oils.” 😂That is definitely my own personal bias, I was trained on oil paint, and I just love it so much that to make the comparison against the water mixable oil is unfair of me!

That’s not to say that water mixable paints don’t have a good place in terms of painting media. They are certainly a really good match especially if you have a home studio and don’t want to worry about fumes or solvent that are part of oil painting. xoxo Prof Lieu

Clara Lieu was an Adjunct Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design from 2007-2020. Her artwork has been exhibited at the International Print Center NY, the Currier Museum, Childs Gallery, the Davis Museum, and more. Lieu received an artist fellowship from the MA Cultural Council, has written for the NY Times, and lectured at Brown University, the NAEA conference, and in Vancouver & China.
