Hou Hsiao Hsien's 7th film "Dust in the Film" (戀戀風塵) from 1986 is an excellent representation of the Taiwanese new wave film movement. Not only is it directed by one of the most famous directors from this influential Taiwanese movement it was written by Wu Nian Jen, one of the most influential screenwriters of the time and Mark Lee Ping Bin one of the premiere Taiwanese cinematographers.
