Les artistes réunies dans l’exposition Contraste et indifférence parcourent le monde et se confrontent, en permanence, à des contextes étrangers dans lesquels elles s’autorisent à entrer, avec douceur et attention, pour témoigner ce qui s’y passe. Le déplacement est essentiel à leur démarche, tout comme une forme de solitude propice à l’observation et aux rencontres.

Guidées par une conscience critique et une sensibilité à l’autre, elles dévoilent quelques disproportions vertigineuses qui affectent l’humanité ici et là sur notre planète. À l’écart du spectaculaire, en reliant sans cesse les enjeux de surface et les profondeurs, elles racontent les tensions du monde contemporain.

he artists brought together in the exhibition Contrast and Indifference travel the world, constantly confronting foreign contexts into which they allow themselves to enter, gently and attentively, and bear witness to what happens there. Travel is essential to their approach, as is a form of solitude conducive to observation and encounters.

Guided by a critical awareness and a sensitivity to others, they reveal some of the staggering disproportions affecting humanity here and there on our planet. Avoiding the spectacular, by constantly connecting surface issues and deeper ones, they recount the tensions of the contemporary world.
