Acquiring Relic Gear @ Flying Fortress Flans (Stranger of Paradise DLC3 see description for update)

Consider using Mage / Ninja.
If access to Hunter 400% affinity, then Sage would be preferable to Mage. Else Mage to recover MP while casting.
Turn on Dragon Trials to get to rank XI with Mission Level+ maxed out and a handful of other trials to reach rate 120+.
Use Utsusemi to survive up to three hits on the way up to the second set of cubes.
Run to the third floor with the second set of cubes.
Run around and open the shortcut to the second save point.
Run back through shortcut, turn on electric walls, then Aeroga to gather flan and crash them into the wall for high break damage.
Consider using Seal of Blood to finish off the flan or try to soul burst the downed flan while an Aeroga is still lifting the flan in the air.
If a flan escapes or leaves the wall area, ignore them, turn off the walls, run to the cubes and reset the scenario.

This may go smoother if you have a lot of Luck and Drop Rate (but moreso Luck) on your gear and master points.)
