Jerome Benton personifies cool. Known best for his work with The Time (later renamed The Original 7ven), a Minneapolis-based funk music and dance group, this singer, dancer, and actor also appeared in movies, music videos, and concerts with Prince and he also has appeared on songs by Janet Jackson.
His long-lasting association with Prince led to appearances in Prince’s movies Purple Rain and Under the Cherry Moon, where he stole the show as "Tricky."
