ABSTRACT
Many countries around the world are considering how best to transition their electricity generation sector to meet short- and medium-term carbon reduction targets. A central issue is how best to ensure continuity of supply as additional renewable power is added to the grid, and the extent to which nuclear power might play a role in this. The talk will review international developments in the nuclear power sector and emphasise the importance of effective project delivery in whatever energy mix is selected.
