If you need to add a shutoff valve to a water line so that you can repair a fixture or do other work while the rest of the house can still use the water, use a ‪@SharkBitePlumbing‬ Slip Ball Valve. This video shows you how I added one to a 1/2” copper pipe so I could replace a leaking faucet. This doesn’t require soldering, special tools or advanced skills.
