The Mangaung Metro Municipality has for years experienced significant financial and service delivery failures, resulting to the municipality being place under administration in 2022.
The Executive Mayor of the Mangaung Metro Municipality, Gregory Nthatisi, says "despite all the challenges being faced, the Metro's efforts to provide basic services to the poor in accordance with the top priorities of the government remain intact".
