A few days later, true to his word, Dakota headed to Kyiv with a small group of soldiers to rescue civilians trapped in the war-torn city. This was weeks before the Russians retreated. Many brave western soldiers are involved in anti-human trafficking and extraction missions but Dakota was one of the first individuals I know to do it.

This will be the last soldier interview I post until after the war. If it is a long war, I will post if I can guarantee that considerable time has passed and that the Russians cannot use anything I share against the Ukrainians.
