From Here On | London and Harwich Film Teaser

Описание: Multi-award winning theatre companies Good Chance and Gecko present the film of From Here On, a breathtaking piece of physical theatre all about displacement, movement and being forced to find a new home, performed on Harwich Beach and London's Liverpool Street.

Featuring local young people from around the world and Gecko’s professional ensemble, From Here On tells the story of nearly a century of displacement and welcome. It marks 85 years since the Kindertransport gave safe passage to nearly 10,000 Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Europe, and commemorates this act of welcome from the local community. As well as an artistic remembrance of that history, From Here On also calls for a safer future for all children forced to flee their home today.

This FREE film screening features the full performance with footage from both locations in Harwich and London, a short film from recently-arrived young people in Dover and Folkestone, and a Q&A with the creative team and cast. Combined running time 90 mins.
