Beriathan joins Mizâdi for her audience with the Doorwards. In order to prove she has no ill intentions, the Doorwards ask her to fight the Ordâkhai in Zajâna before they can retake the entire city. However, Beriathan decides to first check in with Inkanûsh, who is eager to investigate the Pale Blight inside Zajâna’s library. Their plans change when they learn that a theatre troupe known as Têrkar’s Travellers will soon be performing at the city, as Ulishár owes them his freedom, and Inkanûsh agrees on assisting to their play. Ulishár meets his friends and learns the fate that befell them during the war, and the asks Beriathan to help them recover the coin-purse that was robbed from them.
