Day 9 dawned very clear and cold, and we reckoned our chances of seeing the top of Mont Blanc at the highest point of our ascent were over 90 %. Starting in the early morning, we trekked first 5km up to 870 m along a rocky trail. After that the terrain was mixed, and we stepped very carefully along the knife-edge path to reach Aiguillette des Posettes at 2201m. Beware of the edge of the precipice on the top!
We arrived refuge le moulin at 16:20.

I personally think, Gite Le Moulin is one of the best home cook dinner and pack lunch provided by the refuge in this trip.

*** I blessed the weather was extremely good of my journey. The temperature was between 12c - 27c (30c in the mid-day sometime) most of the time but I still carry an insulate legging, light dove jacket and wind breaker for 11 days. Stay on the mountain in the evening was like in the other season ***
