As NATO planes resumed their strikes over Tripoli in one of the heaviest weeks so far of bombardments, there is movement on the diplomatic front against the Gaddafi regime.
The stalemate surrounding flashpoint towns such as Misrata, where attack and counter attack produce more deaths but little progress, is proving frustrating for the international community.
Even Senagal's president, a one-time loyal supporter of the Libyan leader, is going to Benghazi to meet the rebellion's leaders.
