Charlotte is the largest and the fastest-growing city in North Carolina. Though much of its public transport network still relies on buses departing from the Charlotte Transportation Center, there are two lightrail lines: the LYNX Blue Line, and the CityLYNX Gold Line. The Gold Line is currently closed for an extension, but after its reopening in 2021, both lines will use Siemens S70 streetcars.
