Google Just Ended Rockstar Games With An AI Game?

Описание: Google released a magical technology right out of sci-fi movies, Project Genie, which can create endless AI G-game worlds that you can move your character in and wonder around. You can describe any world and character you want, after approving your preview image, tha game starts. Of course it's actually a video feed, but the magic is in the way you can control your character. With WASD you can move your character through your endless world and you can even jump with space.

This might seem like the game industry is over, and most people also thought that too since lots of video game company stocks are down, including Take-Two (Rockstar Games), Unity (Engine), Roblox. But I think this is a mistaken take on this technology. This is more like a lucid dream, there is no consistency or any game mechanics. Moving around in an ever changing scene doesn't make a good game (at least in this way). There needs to be some gorund rules and an objective, something more playable if you know what I mean, and anything that makes a game "game" is lacking from this project. If you ever played or seen any game in your life, this would appear to you more like an interactive movie, while also being a nonsense movie without a script.

It's impressive, and at the same time not "game-changing". The cost of making an AI video feed is too harsh on Google's servers, even in their own API pricing a 60 second video feed costs 24$. We can also tell that it's expensive by the way they only let users play in the same world for 60 seconds and also they only opened this project to the highest subscription tier of Google AI Ultra which is $250/mo.

So no, you will not be playing a fully AI video feed game any time soon. And anything that makes a game good is the artistic style, a hardworking team that thinks everything beforehand, codes and styles it into their game. I hope any studio or company that thinks fully AI generated games are the future, can see again that human aspect is what makes any art including games unique and bonding.
