Best Waves of the Year | Surfing Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Bowls (4K Raw)

Описание: December 31 - 2025 on Oahu was a fantastic year to grow as a surf shooter, it's remarkable to catch these sights every couple of weeks. Yesterday's video was another 2025 highlight reel, featuring the more recognizable surfers, but these are truly the best waves I shot all year.

Some great insights at the beach from veterans, though the best tip came right here a comments section: that the lip of the wave needs to always be in frame. I’ve generally accepted this as compositional canon, but it didn’t really resonate until the recent XL swell as I shot Waimea Bay. Maybe it was the angle, even more offset that I was for the Eddie last year, but there’s something majestic about the open ocean breaking in those big wide strides.

Pro-tip: hit record once before leaving the house. There’s nothing worse than arriving at 20ft glass faces to find out your memory cards are still at home. I also have a remote trigger, which is probably the best gear I can recommend to anyone, aside from a spare card and battery.
