This 1972 Plymouth Road Runner is a genuine Mopar muscle car finished in its vibrant factory-correct Petty Blue (Basin Blue) over a newly restored black interior. Powered by a date-correct 400ci V8 and upgraded with period-correct performance mods, this Road Runner delivers an unmistakable presence with the sound and feel to match.

With only 48,000 miles and zero rust, this example is a perfect candidate for casual showing, weekend driving, or long-term collecting.

Under the hood is a date-correct, performance built, 400ci (6.6L V8) Rated at 255hp as well as roughly 255 ft lbs of torque. With features like a 5-bolt main, and the “cold weather” block, known for its thicker main webs — a desirable Mopar casting. The engine is paired to a manual valve body automatic transmission, delivering a crisp, old-school muscle car driving experience.

Performance modifications/highlights:
-Edelbrock 750cfm 4-barrel carburetor
-Edelbrock intake manifold
-440 Source aluminum heads
-Mopar “Purple” camshaft
-Headers
-Manual valve body transmission (original valve body and new shift kit included)
Recent service includes fresh oil, new spark plugs, and a new ballast resistor. It has recently received several important updates to improve drivability and performance. It now features a brand-new steering box, new power steering line, and has undergone a professional front-end alignment.

Finished in Petty Blue, this Road Runner shows off its muscle car heritage with aggressive styling cues like the boomerang hood, chin spoilers, and a decklid spoiler. The car sits on 5 spoke factory magnum wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires, that give it that "period correct" look. Front tires - 215-60R15, Rear Tires - 275 60R15. Also featuring front disc brakes and a newly added power brake booster and reservoir for improved drivability.

The seller has noted there is a small rust area on the driver’s side floor, approximately 3 inches in diameter, which has been patched from the inside and is currently solid and structurally sound. There is a small section on the top of the front bumper where the chrome is peeling. There is also a small dent on the hood. Potentially able to be repaired by a PDR tech. This small imperfection is located near the center of the hood, between the boomerangs toward the front side. Finally, a small blistering area in the paint on the center left section of the hood, near the left boomerang.

Inside, the car has received a full refresh, with new seat covers, carpeting, and new seat belts (including factory-style shoulder belts). The bucket seats and center console add to the sporty factory feel.
The original radio powers on (though sound output is not currently functional), and the temperature gauge reads inconsistently—minor quirks that don’t detract from the overall usability and enjoyment of this otherwise well-sorted cabin. All trim pieces in good condition with no cracking or broken elements.

Modifications:
-Front Disc Brakes
-Boomerang Hood + Spoilers
-Brand-New Interior
-Power Brake Booster & Reservoir
