The Backgrounds in both scenes have touched-up elements that were ai generated in Dall-E 2, the solid black trees in the first and spikes in the second half. At the time it was a new technology, going from Dall-E Mini to this was a giant leap
and I wished to leverage the still-uncanny nature of that era’s ai to make something creepy feeling to composite into the background.
Nowadays My feelings are completely different on using such things and Would rather have just hand-created those assets. While I am interested in AI technology to an extent and have been following its progress since 2018/2019, the ethics behind how it steals data from existing art and is trying to be leveraged by giant corporations to replace real artists of all kinds is frankly disgusting. Like Dawg they should have automated Minimum wage McDonalds jobs first before uprooting Human-creativity…
