Today I drove all the way up to the Reading and Northern Railroad for the Iron Horse Rambles excursion and chased the famous T-1 steam engine no. 2102 from Jim Thorpe to Reading. She’s already a personal favorite and definitely the loudest locomotive I’ve ever heard besides maybe the Big Boy.
Watch as the T-Hog pulls 17 loaded cars unassisted through the Northeast PA mountains. Gotta love those beautiful whistles, especially her Reading 6 chime! (which is actually 425’s but whatever)
