Описание: Paleontology has given rise to some truly incredible minds, helping us redefine how we view the prehistoric world. Mary Anning is an excellent example of this. Her work and recovery of fossils for creatures like Plesiosaurs, Ichthyosaurs, and Pterosaurs were arguably ahead of her time, and helped provide the emerging field of Paleontology expand with new ideas, new evidence, and new perspectives.

But while we may know of and honor her today, Mary Anning has not always enjoyed such respect. Anning has suffered through persecution of her class and gender, limiting her abilities to present her ideas and receive credit for her work. But lets back up a bit, how did Mary Anning first get involved in Paleontology? What events in her life made her the geological wonder she is recognized as today?
