For people interested to make it, you should know that it is risky business. As I was trying to make a new video with a few improvements using the same chestnuts as last year, imported from Italy, I got an unexpected surprise. The chestnuts became hard after being boiled in the water syrup.
Following my research I have discovered that not all chestnuts are good for making Marons Glacees and that it is practically impossible to determine which variety you buy from the grocery store.
I made this recipe more from curiosity and the desire to prepare something amazing for my family. While the method works, the results are depending on what chestnuts you use.
I shared my experience here, because I don't want anyone having disappointing results because of my video.
