We did this wrong, and they say it’s best to learn from other people’s mistakes so settle in for a quick lesson on what not to do. This week we’re in Auckland, New Zealand doing some much-needed maintenance on our boom, getting our freshly reshaped mainsail back from Doyle, and heading out for a quick test sail. It’s not the glamorous part of boat life, but it’s essential.

If you're new here, Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin & Fabio Potenti, and our dog Yoda. We're a small family living aboard our catamaran, SV Wanderlust, sailing to Harbors Unknown.
