Cabbage patties are an interesting dish! They're typically made by combining shredded cabbage with flour or breadcrumbs and various seasonings like garlic, onions, and herbs. Sometimes they're pan-fried until golden and crispy. Cabbage patties likely evolved as a way to use up leftover cabbage and create a filling, nutritious dish. Ingredients Quantity
Oil 1 tbsp
Ginger chopped 1 inch
Green chilli chopped 3 no
Onion sliced 2 no
Carrot grated 1 cup
Salt to taste
Cabbage juliennes 1 no
Red chilli powder ½ tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder ½ tsp
Chaat masala ½ tsp
Fresh coriander sprig 4-5 no
Potato boiled 2 no
Gram flour ¼ cup
Water as required
Oil 1 tsp
Mint leaves sprig for garnish
Method:-
1. Place a kadai on medium flame and heat oil. Add chopped ginger and chopped green chilli sauté for a minute.
2. Add onion juliennes and sauté for 3 minute on medium flame.
3. Now add grated carrot and salt mix well. Cook for a minute.
4. Add juliennes cabbage and sauté for 2-3 minutes until cabbage soft.
5. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and chaat masala mix well.
6. Now side out in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
7. Now take fresh coriander sprig and chopped well. Then add in a bowl and mix well.
8. Take boiled potato and mashed in a cabbage mixture with the help of hand.
9. Place a kadai on medium flame and add gram flour dry roast for a minute until fragrant.
10. Add roasted gram flour in cabbage mixture and mix well.
11. Take a bowl of water and apply some water in hand.
12. Take small portions of the mixture and form them into round or oval patties.
13. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the patties into the pan. Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
14. Once they’re golden and crispy, remove the patties from the pan and place them on a serving plate.
15. Now garnish with red chilli sauce and mint leaves.
