The Amazing Reaction When A Capybara Smells This

I use this leash to pet all the capybaras I know. When I visit Nagasaki Bio Park the leash picks up the smell of up to 13 different capybaras. When I visited Tuff'n for the first time after Tuff'n went blind I held out the leash to him as I always do when I arrive after a long period of time away from Romeo and Tuff'n. I was very surprised when Tuff'n backed away in fear. Then I came to realise that because Tuff'n was blind he could not see the leash. All he could smell was a herd of unknown capybaras who had invaded his territory. Naturally he was frightened. Being blind it would have been very difficult for him to defend himself. This shows how excellent the capybaras sense of smell is that although I had washed the leash thoroughly Tuff'n could still smell the other capybaras quite clearly.
