Filet Mignon is tender, juicy, and a crowd favorite as is, but adding garlic butter and parmesan “breading” brings this dish to the next level of flavor.
Eating steak on a low-carb diet is pretty standard, but once we start breading, things can get carb-y QUICK…
But, don’t worry! We made this parmesan-crusted filet mignon recipe low-carb by using almond flour, butter, and parmesan to create that perfect crisp “breading”.
This low-carb recipe, or as we like to call it, the Keto dinner recipe of our DREAMS, is sure to be a hit!

Keto Garlic Parmesan Crusted Filet Mignon
Ingredients
4 tbsp Butter
24 oz Beef steak, tenderloin or filet mignon, visible fat eaten
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper, ground
0.5 small Yellow onion
2 cloves Garlic
0.33 cup, shredded Parmesan cheese, fresh (hard)
0.25 cup Almond flour
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400F/200C. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic. Add 2 tbsp butter to a skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the onion to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Transfer to a bowl.
3. Add grated parmesan, almond flour, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper. Mash the ingredients together with a fork.
4. Slice the beef tenderloin into 4 equal steaks. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Add 2 tbsp of butter to a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3 minutes on each side until browned.
5. Top the steaks with the parmesan cheese mixture, then place in the oven for 5-6 for medium or more for well done. Transfer the steaks to a plate and cover with foil. Let rest for 10 minutes.
6. Serve the parmesan-crusted steaks with your choice of sides. Enjoy!
