The effort brought together personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department, the Department of Public Works, and environmental specialists from Clean Harbors Environmental Inc., with support from outreach teams.

Crews in protective gear cleared debris and waste from sidewalks and public parking areas, addressing both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Officials noted that the targeted zone has become a recurring location for illegal camping, underscoring ongoing public safety and sanitation concerns.

The enforcement action was carried out under Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 56.11, which governs the storage of personal property in public spaces.
