This song was known about by some, myself included obviously, before 2023. Fans would call it “Thoughts That Take Away My Pride”, from a writing and recording snippet of the track during the "Making of Meteora" DVD. The title or anything about the song was unknown before its release, only small clips of the actual track. The band also had never brought up or mentioned the song at all because they would go on to forget about it, nor did its clips really get asked about enough to get a response.

A lot of albums have full outtakes, some only get a number of songs recorded and then the album is every song. What makes the song very special and was unknown before 2023, is how close it was to being on the album. Meteora had 80-90 song ideas written for it and unlike any other song made for this album, it was the only true album outtake, making it to the end, being mixed with the album by Andy Wallace and then being taken off the album when sequencing the order of songs, instead of being cut during recording/writing. The other most finished outtakes, "Fighting Myself" and "More the Victim" were among the final batch of songs with the album, but never got to the very end of the process before getting cut.

This was an early concept made by me before its release, before anything was known even about the song at all. Before even the title was known had clips floating around of it surfaced, which inspired this concept track. Original sources used to create the concept:
