Описание: In a straightforward speech before the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, U.S. USDOT Secretary Anthony Foxx outlined the many reasons why Congress must pass a long-term surface transportation reauthorization bill in 2015. “This is about our economy, this is about our way of life and it is about the competitiveness of America, Foxx said.” “All of us in this room are on the front lines of making sure Congress knows that it isn’t acceptable to keep moving on short-term measures. By 2050 we’ll have 100 million more people and have to move more than twice the amount of freight and if we don’t keep up --our roads won’t be able to handle it.”
