BODY CAM: Salt Lake City police exchange gunfire with fleeing suspect on I-80

Описание: On June 29, the Salt Lake City Police Department received a call of a man shooting at two tow truck drivers while they tried to tow his truck.

The man, later identified as Ramon Rojas-Huerta, 44, of West Valley City, fled from the scene after shooting at the two men, according to charging documents.

One of the men followed Rojas-Huerta to assist the police in locating and arresting him. However, Rojas-Huerta noticed him and fired more at the man.

Police responding to the scene spotted Rojas-Huerta and pursued him onto I-80.

While pursuing Rojas-Huerta, he allegedly shot at police. The officers returned fire and rammed their cars into his car.

Afterward, officers got out of their vehicles and positioned themselves around Rojas-Huerta's car.

Rojas-Huerta eventually surrendered to officers and was placed into police custody.
