After the successful launch of the first batch of RX-01 'Vela' Communication Satellites, as well as the subsequent successful remote de-orbiting and destruction of the transfer stage, the parliament heading the United Kerbal Empire (UKE) has decided to allocate additional funds to the Empire's space program, seeing that exploration and colonization of deep space is, very possibly, a fruitful endeavour.
