The Forest Restoration and Livelihood Development Project in Da Nang City, funded by VELUX through WWF Denmark and WWF Vietnam, is implemented in Tay Giang, Dong Giang, and Nam Giang districts.
Through a range of activities including site surveys and design, development of native seed stands, nursery establishment, forest planting, and assisted natural regeneration, combined with monitoring using drone technology, the project aims to restore forest ecosystems, increase forest carbon stocks, and contribute to Vietnam’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and the country’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Beyond climate and biodiversity benefits, the project also works closely with local communities to promote sustainable forest management and livelihood development under the forest canopy, creating long-term value for people, nature, and the climate.
