New Bee Vac - Removal Equipment Improvement

Описание: Just got the Everything Bee Vac in the mail. A few people wanted to see more about it and what all comes with it. I normally do not do reviews but said why not. I have used it a few times and have fallen in love with it. A few things that I really like about this vac is that it is portable without having to be plugged in. I do not have a generator making this vac the best for my needs.


I will not tell anyone this vac is right for them because everyone has different needs and a different set-up for their tasks. In most cases each task is different and I expect times when this vac will not work for the job I will be doing. I would recommend you do your research and find the vac that will work best for at least 70% of the tasks you wish to do. Do not plan to find a vac to fit all of your needs because you would end up placing yourself in a position that will surprise you and you might not like the outcome.



Before using any vac, this one included, I would highly suggest taking about a quarter cup of bees for each test to see how much suction power regulation you need with and with out the hose attachment. If it's to little bees won't go in, but to much you will end up with bee soup killing all that go in. The cup I used was for mite testing and then broke it down into quarters for testing without losing to many bees. This is one reason the papers with this vac states bee vacs are not for beginner beekeepers.



My first removal was a two hour drive. I kept the vac going all day and then the drive home. It died an hour after getting back and I had to plug it in while running because of a thunderstorm had moved in and I could not go into the hives or box them up in the yard at the time with the high winds and hail made it unsafe.



I do recommend the use of bee vacs if removing hives in public areas for the safety of the people near by. Simply because cutting the number of bees helps lower the population. Removals require a lot of knowledge before even making the attempt to remove a hive. If at all possible I highly recommend going out with an experienced beekeeper before attempting to do a removal alone. It is a lot of hard work and there are so many variables that can go wrong very quickly. Having an emergency plan of action in place before leaving the house is mandatory! Knowing how to test for Africanization of bees is a must and having emergency personnel on standby with correct equipment and information and having done a safety meeting before hand with them is a must. Simply going in with a bee vac does not mean all is safe.



Always put safety first in everything you do. And I hope you like the video. Maybe this vac is what you are looking for, but if it is not do not give up keep looking. I am sure there is one out there to fit most of your needs.
