Sydney’s largest mosque has received the third threatening letter in less than a month, sparking safety fears among the Lebanese Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.
The graphic threat against Lakemba Mosque was sent after One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson singled out Lakemba in a baseless claim that some people feel they can't visit predominantly Muslim suburbs.
NSW Premier Chris Minns has assured the Lebanese Muslim Association that the NSW police force will ramp up security measures under Operation Shelter.
