Police respond to a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in Stuart, Florida. Both parties have been drinking. Officers separate them and tell the boyfriend to pack up and leave — but not to drive yet. Wait at least 30 minutes. The girlfriend is told her license is suspended and she is not to get behind the wheel under any circumstances. Within 30 minutes, he drives to a gas station a mile down the road. She follows him. While he's inside paying for gas, she jumps out of her car and climbs into his passenger seat. He comes out, finds her sitting in his truck, and has the store call 911. Security cameras capture the entire thing. What happens next is two separate DUI investigations happening simultaneously at the same gas station by different officers — with both of them failing field sobriety and both of them going to jail on the night before the Fourth of July.
