We compare the graphics of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997) to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Remake played on PS4 Pro. The team from Vicarious Visions remade the game from scratch, the only thing they kept was the original level design. The PS4 Pro version runs with native 1440p and 30 fps, the PS4 version runs with 1080p30. For this video, we used the PS3 digital download version of Crash Bandicoot 1 – it emulates a PS1 environment without altering the game – much easier to capture for me.
The Intro scene has been shortened on the PS4 Pro side, because the old intro was shorter.

Crash Bandicoot bekommt mit der N. Sane Trilogy eine Neuauflage für die PS4 und PS4 Pro. Wir vergleichen den zweiten Teil von 1997 für die PS1 mit der Neuauflage.

Die Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy ist mehr als nur ein Remaster. Das Team von Vicarious Visions hat das Spiel von Grund auf neu aufgebaut. Die Entwickler sprechen trotzdem nur von einem Remaster Plus anstatt von einem Remake, weil sie das original Leveldesign von Naughty Dog übernommen haben.

Die PS4 Version läuft übrigens mit 1080p und 30 Bildern pro Sekunde, während die PS4 Pro 1440p und 30fps schafft. In diesem Video haben wir die digitalen Versionen für die PS3 benutzt – die PS3 emuliert hier eine PS1-Umgebung inklusive virtueller Memory Card und bietet so das original Spielerlebnis.

Das Intro mussten wir auf Seiten der Neuauflage kürzen, da es ein bisschen länger ist als im Original.
