WGBH Music: Typhoon - Common Sentiments (Live)

Описание: September 29, 2013 -- Portland Oregon based, Typhoon, performs live in front of a sold-out crowd at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. This is Typhoon's first ever show in Boston and one in which the band and audience won't soon forget. According to the band, the Boston show was one of the best of the tour - between the crowd's energy, the venue, and the band firing on all cylinders.

Typhoon released their latest album, White Lighter, in late August, 2013 - a record quickly adored by fans and well received by critics. NPR Music's, Bob Boilen, had this to say about the new album: "Typhoon has never done anything quite like what you can hear on its latest album. The songs are by far the best arranged and most compelling."

So much of the writing on White Lighter draws from frontman Kyle Morton's life-threatening experiences with a bug bite as a kid that infected his organs and nearly killed him. He's alive today because of a kidney transplant from his father and with the help of medication that keeps his body from rejecting the new organ. Driving from city to city in a van purchased from a fan-supported Kickstarter campaign, Typhoon and Kyle Morton keep on moving and entertaining audiences.
