Storms hit early and the day started in survival mode — but Springfield BMX squeezed the Illinois State Qualifier in during a break in the weather.
Because of the class mix, I ended up getting bumped into a younger Expert group… but that didn’t change the mission — I came for the podium. 😤🏁

This wasn’t just “another race.” The Main Event turned into a straight-up fight for position, and I found myself battling for a podium spot multiple times throughout the lap. Nothing was given — every inch had to be earned.
