Bear - Ford Transit Jumbo - NOW SOLD!! The van that started it all.

Описание: It is with much regret, I have decided to sell Bear, the Ford Transit Jumbo that started my life living off-grid, and was the reason VANHAUS Conversions is what it is today.

In 2017 I left London and decided I wasn’t going back. I didn’t want to continue doing a job I had gradually began to hate, and spending all my money just to be able to live there seemed like trying to endlessly swim upstream. Luckily after a few months away from the big smoke, this van and I crossed paths and equally needed each other. It was clearly fate and I wanted a new way of life, so I put my heart and soul into creating what I saw as the perfect place to live in comfort, without paying someone else’s mortgage, and having total freedom (long before everyone on Instagram and YouTube decided it was the hip thing to be doing!).

In May of 2019 myself, Bear my Cane Corso, and this van were filmed by Nate Murphy for his channel, as I wanted to showcase how I lived and how comfortable a van could be (a fully mosaic tiled shower for one thing). To my utter amazement the video reached nearly half a million views, and gave me the courage to risk everything and try to make converting vans for other people into a full time business. Here I am 3 years later, having converted 15+ vans and my dream has come true.

I owe it all to this van, aptly named Bear after my Cane Corso, and for obvious reasons it means so much to me, it’s hard to put into words. Bear has had a full inside and out restoration over the past 18 months around working on customer’s vans, and in my opinion looks better than when he rolled off the production line. The work was carried out with the intention of using him for holidays and as a showcase of what we can do here at VANHAUS Conversions, however due to our current workload it doesn’t make sense to keep him when someone else could go on lots of adventures, and hopefully change their life, like living in him did to mine.

A new FIAMMA 45S 2.6m awning is included within the asking price, but is not currently fitted as I wanted to offer the buyer a choice of the Deep Black or Polar White outer casing and various canopy colours. Also included is memory foam for the bed/sofa, alternatively CustomSizeBeds UK make exceptional custom mattresses and sheets which but that would on the basis the buyer if paying the full asking price.

The entire interior of the van has been stripped out back to the insulation, a new vapour barrier installed, and a totally new hand crafted conversion carried out to make him as perfect as possible. The exterior has been resprayed in Frost White seen on more recent Ford Transits, and the underside and arches have been stone chipped and protected. Also new RIKEN Cargo tires have just been fitted, as well as a new exhaust system.
