Full engine rebuild of a Volkswagen 1.6 AUS engine. In this video, we show the complete disassembly and reassembly process after a full overhaul. The repair included replacing piston compression rings, honing the cylinder walls, and a cylinder head rebuild with valve lapping and new valve stem seals.
We also replaced the timing belt kit and all related components.
Before the repair, the engine had excessive oil consumption and low compression — after the rebuild, all values were restored to factory specifications.
