Cricket is set to return to Bengaluru’s iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium after the Karnataka Cabinet permitted the Karnataka State Cricket Association to host IPL and international matches.
KSCA President Venkatesh Prasad said the managing committee worked extensively over the past two months to bring cricket back for fans. Officials also outlined key safety and infrastructure measures, including crowd management improvements, widened gates, holding areas, triage and medical care centres, and stronger coordination with Namma Metro and BMTC to promote public transport use.
Authorities say the changes aim to enhance fan safety and match-viewing experience ahead of the upcoming IPL fixtures.
