This time I did a sensible clip showing the trams capabilities when it comes to a bit of slow running. I did go a bit mad in the last video by displaying a full speed run. Totally unnatural and out of scale, I am not proud of it to be honest.
This model is put together with some of Roundhouse Engineering's finest parts. A Lady Anne chassis and Boiler Kit. This has enabled the rest of the project to be a doddle knowing that I have always got a good runner inside.
This model is a live steam 32mm/foot narrow gauge tram based on the J70 trams that used to run on the Wisbech & Upwell line last century, more commonly known as a 'Toby the tram engine' from the 'Thomas the tank engine' series. This is demonstrating the build and operation of the condenser tanks. Like the original it is an 0-6-0 wheel configuration, outside cylinders and works with Walschaerts valve gear.

Update 29.9.13 Having recently been to my first model steam show, I have taken a video of the Tram in action. Credit goes to a friend of mine for the actual footage of the tram, now named 'SUFFOLK PUNCH'. See the Elsecar steam show video here: • Elsecar Model Steam show 2013
