A visit to the Roman Baths in Bath

Описание: A walk-through tour of the historic Roman Baths in Bath, with a few facts 'n' figures thrown in too. The Roman Baths have to be a must-see if you visit Bath.

We start at the entrance on Abbey Churchyard, and enter via the beautiful Victorian former concert hall. We wander around the Victorian upper terrace created in the late 19th century, complete with Roman Emperors & governors of Roman Britannia.

A stroll inside to the museum, passing Bath's Sacred Spring, we discoer more of the original baths complex the Romans created at Aqua Sulis, the Roman name for Bath. A wander through the museum leads to the Temple Courtyard and you come face-to-face with Sulis Mineva, the Roman Goddess worshipped here.

You now arrive at the lower levels of the Roman baths, leading again to the Great Bath, surrounded by its Victorian columns. On this level we discover more of the day-to-day life of the baths with the help of multimedia, and augmented reality displays showing life as it would have been nearly 2,000 years ago.
